Hello! I used the July 2020 Scrapping for Less Flavor of the Month Card kit to make 2 quick cards to play along with Kristie Marcotte’s card challenge. You can watch my full process video HERE.
The current challenge is to make a slimline card and then use the scraps from that card to make another card.
For my first card, I used the slimline sketch, SFL Sketch Challenge #7, from this month’s sketch sheet.
I used the Tropical Fruit paper and stamp set from the July 2020 Flavor of the Month card kit. I pieced 2 strips of patterned paper together across the middle of the card. I stamped, watercolored and fussy cut out the pineapple embellishements. Then I finished the card off with some Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops.
I made my second card using the scraps from my slimline card. I pieced the patterned paper scraps together in a grid pattern to act as a card mat. I stamped and colored another pineapple from the stamp set and added my sentiment. I finished this card off with some 1/2 inch yellow circles from the yellow pattern I stamped my sentiment on for this card and my first card.
This challenge was a lot of fun and using the scraps for the second card was an actual challenge! I hope you enjoyed seeing my cards!
